A GOTHIC-REVIVAL OAK READING STAND
CIRCA 1850
The arched central divider with oak and acorn form finials, above pierced trefoils centered by elaborately carved birds and flowering branches, including an owl, with three compartments on each side, on central tripartite support, the underside of leather lined compartment lid with hand written paper label reading 'This piece of carved oak Furniture from the Exhibition in Hyde Park, 1851, was given to Jemima Wyburd by her affectionate father Edward Henry Corbould at Christmas - 1900'

Originally purchased by Edward Henry Corbould from the 1851 Great Exhibition;

Given to his daughter, Jemima Wyburd, 1900;
