The rectangular box with faceted corners finely decorated in gold, silver, brown and black lacquer hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, togidashi, kirikane, nashiji and inlaid gold foil set on a roiro ground, designed with chrysanthemum, seven flowers of autumn, spiders and spider nets on top of the lid, fitted with ink stone and a gilt water dropper in the shape of jyunihitoe (twelve layered robes), the writing table decorated en suite with finely chiseled silver mounts
