The center with a shield with impaled arms against a ground of lustred bryony flowers enclosed by a rope-twist circle, the broad border painted with radiating dark-blue stems issuing dark-blue bryony flowers and parsley leaves and lustre tendrils, the reverse with two concentric registers of dark-blue parsley stems and leaves and lustred foliage around a similarly decorated center, with a printed label inscribed 'P. 48 / E. de R./ 704' for Edouard the Rothschild
