The first with hinged silver calendar frame with rectangular cut-cornered emerald single-stone accent, containing interchangeable calendar cards for 1897, London hallmarks, 1896, maker's mark J.M.B., banded agate base 7.5 x 7.5 cm, with applied label to base reading 'Given to Lady Glenesk by H.R.H. The Duchess of York, afterwards Queen Mary'; the second designed as a porcelain certificate with painted dedication 'Diploma of a Dame No. 7 for Lady Borthwick of no. 139 Piccadilly, London', dated February 4th 1884, beneath a glazed cover, to an old-cut diamond ropetwist border, silver-gilt, 3.2 cm, fitted case from Henry Lewis Jeweller & Goldsmith, embossed to the cover 5th April 1892
