The flattened, pear-shaped vase is moulded with two C-shaped handles with rings. The body is moulded with a deer and a fu character to one side and a qilin to the other side, each within a ruyi-shaped cartouche. The neck is decorated with a band of stylised lappets and the foot with a band of ruyi-heads.
