THE CASE ATTRIBUTED TO ANDRE-CHARLES BOULLE, AFTER A DESIGN BY GILLES-MARIE OPPENORDT, CIRCA 1715-25
Decorated overall en premier-partie with foliate trails and strapwok, the arched top headed by acanthus with volutes, the circular dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, above a tapering tripartite base, the angles flanked by ram's masks terminating in a berry boss, signed 'THURET', the later movement stamped 'AD. MOUGIN DEUX MEDAILLES' and numbered '1898 5 2'
