The serpentine shaped top with central painted genre scenes of peasant life in the manner of François Eisen, with a leaf-cast frieze, the top opening to an adjustable tilting mirror flanked by two hinged well compartments, above a single drawer and leather-lined writing-slide and two larger drawers and with a fitted drawer on the right side, on slight cabriole legs, some mounts replaced, the blue ground refreshed
