CIRCA 1760-65, IN THE MANNER OF JEAN-FRANCOIS OEBEN

The sliding shaped rectangular top with three-quarter shallow gallery, inlaid with a strapwork cartouche containing a ribbon-tied trophy of love including Cupid's bow, quiver, a pair of doves and a flaming torch, issuing roses and flanked by bouquets, inlaid with similar trailing bouquets to the frieze, the frieze drawer with slight kneehole and with ratchetted slope and hinged reading-rest lined to the centre with original blue silk flanked by panels of bouquets, enclosing a blue paper-lined compartment, on cabriole legs with ormolu sabots, remounted
