Blue-grey fine tricot wool, privately tailored with open collar, pleated breast pockets with straight flaps, waist bag pockets with straight pocket flaps, four-button front, French cuffs. Silver finish pebbled buttons, loops on left breast pocket for four awards, ribbon bar loops above pocket. Collar tabs indicate rank of Major, wreath surrounding a single gull at centre embroidered in silver-aluminum over red backing, edge piped in silver-aluminum twist cord, hand-applied. Major rank shoulder boards of interwoven brite silver-aluminum cords with five-bends at each side on red backing, at centre gold-colored metal cipher with intertwined initials "AS", indicating Anti-Aircraft school. Right breast with early-style droop tail officer eagle, hand-embroidered in silver-aluminum over blue-grey backing, hand-applied. Lined in blue-grey rayon with white striped sleeve linings, edged weapon suspension strap and internal waist belt. Magdeburg tailor label/name tag attached to inside pocket, officer name and date illegible. Repair on the back of left sleeve.
Regiment 52 was raised in Magdeburg and commanded by Major Waldemar Lauterbach from September of 1944 until May of 1945. All previous commanders of this Regiment held the rank of Oberst raising the possibility that this uniform may have belonged to Major Waldemar Lauterbach. Magdeburg had extensive flak fortifications all around as it was a major bombing target.
