JOHN THE BAPTIST MONASTERY IN TREGULYAEVSK Russian, dated 1723 (icon), Russian, circa 1800 (oklad) Tempera on wood panel. Cyrillic inscribed and dated. Overlaid with a chased metal oklad. Partially restored. 108 x 77.3 cm. wurde gemalt für das Treguljajewskij Iohanno-Predtechenskij Kloster 1723'. Das 1688 The St. John the Baptist Monastery in Tregulyaevsk, founded in 1688, is located near Tambov. In 1717, a fire broke out in the monastery, destroying almost the entire monastery, including the monastery church. The restored church of the predecessor existed until 1753, when it was demolished because of its dilapidated condition. In its place, a wooden church of Vvedenskaya was built, which existed until 1790, when it was also demolished because of decay.

Eitempera auf Kreidegrund. Metalloklad. 108 x 77,3 cm. Ikone kyrillisch bezeichnet 'Diese Ikone wurde gemalt für das Treguljajewskij Iohanno-Predtechenskij Kloster 1723'. Das 1688 gegründete Johannes der Täufer-Kloster in Treguljajewsk befindet sich in der Nähe von Tambow. Im Jahr 1717 brach im Kloster ein Brand aus, der fast das gesamte Kloster einschließlich der Klosterkirche zerstörte.
