A MOTTLED GREEN AND PALE BEIGE OPAQUE JADE BI DISC

NEOLITHIC PERIOD, LIANGZHU CULTURE, 3RD MILLENNIUM BC

The jade disc has a small central aperture drilled from both sides with cutting marks on the surface. The stone is of a mottled dark green color suffused with a dense network of buff-colored alteration. Together with a hardstone bi disc, Northwest or Southwest China, 2nd millennium BC, has a central aperture drilled from one side. The stone is of mottled brown and greenish-grey tone, with matte surface.
