Slocum copy of the first edition of Bligh's own account of the mutiny on the Bounty, "one of the most remarkable incidents in the whole of maritime history," in a contemporary binding (Hill). Hill 132.

Contemporary half calf over marbled boards, photo reproduction of portrait of Bligh and a ship model laid onto to pastedowns (rebacked preserving some of the original spine panel, some losses). Custom box. Provenance: ticket of Tyrrell's Limited, Sydney, Australia – Victor Slocum (son of circumnavigator Joshua Slocum, pencil note) – Myles Standish Slocum (1887-1956, his sale, Christie's 20 November 1981, lot 85.)
