Each with serpentine-fronted top above a conforming case fitted with a pair of doors, the whole decorated with Coromandel lacquer depicting a lotus pond, pavilions with attendants, landscapes, and beasts enclosed by japanned borders, the doors with replaced locks and hinges stamped HORNE / PATENT, one opening to a shelved interior and with two stickers applied to underside inscribed 43391 and 43391 x 2 and with Jones(?) inscribed in chalk to the reverse, the other opening to linen slides, each supported on square tapering legs terminating in spade feet, and with printed and inscribed Ann and Gordon Getty Collection inventory label
