CIRCA 1775, IN THE MANNER OF THOMAS CHIPPENDALE, THE TOPS REGENCY AND REUSED

The japanned serpentine tops with figures at various pursuits within pagodas and mountain surrounded by a latticework border punctuated by cartouches above a gilt metal mounted serpentine frieze with foliate scrolls and latticework over a pair of cabinet doors and panels divided by ram’s mask pilasters and opening to reveal shelves, on gilt metal hoof feet, with printed and inscribed Ann and Gordon Getty Collection label, probably originally with marble tops, the tops Regency and reusing original timber



35 1/2 in. (90 cm.) high, 60 in. (152 cm.) wide, 23 1/4 in. (59 cm.) deep

One acquired from Partridge, London, by Ann and Gordon Getty in 1985.
