MARK OF AARON LESTURGEON, LONDON, 1772

Each formed as a Chinese tea chest, the square body engraved with pseudo Chinese characters on a planked ground within foliate borders, the sliding cover with tea flower finial, engraved on front panel with a coat-of-arms, marked under bases, later scratch weight 12=8 and 11=18

4 3/4 in. (12 cm.) high

23 oz. 14 dwt. (738 gr.)

The arms are those of Humfrey impaling Jackson of Preston, co. Lancaster.
