PROBABLY MADE FOR THE RUSSIAN MARKET, CIRCA 1785-1790, THE ALABASTRO FIORITO BODIES REPLACED, PROBABLY IN THE LATE 18TH OR EARLY 19TH CENTURY

Of athenienne form, each with shaped bowl and conforming cover mounted with fruit and foliage located on a palmette pierced band, the body further issuing floral garlands, supported by three female herm monopodia on a concave triangular white marble base with central fruiting finial on lappetted toupie feet, probably conceived with porcelain bodies, restored breaks to the suspended garlands, loss to one section

27 in. (68.5 cm.) high; 8 in. (20 cm.) diameter
