CASE: the arched hood of architectural outline and with three brass sphere finials, the glazed door flanked by stop-fluted pillasters and brass square capitals and bases, a central cherub mask above, the trunk door with brass moulded edge and feathered banding, with reconstructed cheekboard tops, with ivorine label 'Percy Webster / Vendor / 37 Gt. Portland St. / No. 1065A' and with further impressed stamp above '1065A'
DIAL: arched 13 inch dial plate, the silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, fleur-de-lis half-hour and lozenge half quarter-hour markers, the matted centre with signature oval 'Dan. Quare / LONDON / 61', blued steel hands, subsidiary dials for seconds and date '1-31' inset below, fine pierced and chased silver spandrels with masks, dolphin heads, flowers and foliage
MOVEMENT: the substantial three-train movement with anchor escapement, the rectangular plates joined by five knopped pillars, with six hammers striking a nest of six bells
