A RARE AND MONUMENTAL SILVER-MOUNTED COPPER PUNCH BOWL, TWO-HANDLED TRAY, AND EIGHT CUPS
ATTRIBUTED TO JOSEPH HEINRICH, NEW YORK, CIRCA 1910, RETAILED BY THEODORE B. STARR, NEW YORK
The large copper punch bowl with gilt interior, raised on a spreading circular base modeled as straps of leather stitched with silver lacing and applied with arrowheads, the bowl with spot-hammered surface and engraved with tassels, the upper rim applied with silver and copper Native American heads, bear pelts, and shields with spears, hammers, and feathers, the circular tray with antler handles surrounded by applied arrowheads, the border engraved with scenes of Native Americans hunting in a forest and canoeing, the center with a presentation inscription, the conforming circular cups with gilt interiors, on scrolled circular bases, applied with silver straps to the body connecting to the silver loop handles, marked throughout COPPER AND SILVER and with retailer's mark for Theodore B Starr

The presentation inscription on the tray reads,
