A RARE PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE ‘PARROT’ BOXES AND COVERS LATE QING DYNASTY-EARLY REPUBLIC PERIODThe boxes are decorated in mirror image with a parrot perched on a bamboo stalk growing beside a chrysanthemum stem bearing yellow, pink and blue blossoms. The sides of the cover and box are covered in a peach-coloured enamel glaze decorated with gilt foliate medallions, and with gilt key-fret bands at the rims. The bases are inscribed with four-character fushou ruyi marks ‘May you have a long life with all wishes come true’ in iron-red within double squares.9 1⁄4 in. (23.5 cm.) diam. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
