A RARE POLYCHROME-ENAMELLED ‘FLORAL’ BOWL

JIAJING SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1522-1566)

The bowl is decorated in overglaze turquoise, green, iron-red, yellow and aubergine with a composite floral scroll comprising peony, lotus, chrysanthemum, and lotus borne on an undulating leafy stem, above a classic scroll around the foot rim.
