The cigarette case, the hinged cover applied with a gold laurel wreath centring a gold coin of Catherine the Great, with a moonstone thumb-piece, with blue tinder cord, marked under thumbpiece; the buttons, guilloché enamelled in opalescent cream, in the original wooden case, each marked on toggle; the bell-push, centring a push-piece guilloché enamelled in opalescent white, within a turquoise enamelled rim, applied with a two-colour gold laurel wreath, apparently unmarked
