Each with a shaped oval back centered by a flower-filled basket and carved with ribbon-twisted vinery, the serpentine-fronted seat raised on cabriole legs, with printed and inscribed Ann and Gordon Getty Collection inventory label, decoration refreshed

Provenance
Supplied to Esprit-Benoit Nicolis, Conte di Robilant (probably 1724-1801), Turin.
By descent to Edmondo Nicolis, Conte di Robilant e Cereaglio (1871-1941) and removed to Venice circa 1896.
A set of twelve chairs and a settee were acquired from Andrea, Conte di Robilant by Julius Loewy, Venice, and sold to Walter T. Rosen in the 1930s.
