Of graduated sizes, each oval with gadrooned border, the mazarine pierced with scrolls and quatrefoils, all engraved with a crest, marked underneath, the dishes engraved with numbers and scratch weight: No. 1 30:4, No. 2 32:4, No. 3 31:13, No. 4 32:0, No. 5 51:11, No. 6 51:2, No. 7 53:7, No 8 53:8, No 9 88:3, No 10 87:14, No 11 101:6 and No 12 110:19
Nos. 1 to 4 131/2 (34.3 cm.), nos. 5 to 6 17 in. (51 cm.), nos. 7 and 8 171/2 in. (53 cm.), nos. 9 and 10 201/4 in. (87 cm.), no. 11 22 in. (101 cm.) and no. 12 223/4 in. (57.8 cm.) long, the mazarine 197/8 in. (50.5 cm.) long

The crests are those of Glynne, for Sir Stephen Richard Glynne 8th Bt. (1780-1815), of Harwarden Castle, co. Flint. He was born posthumously and came of age in 1801, the year he commissioned his dinner service from Robert Sharp. He married Mary, daughter Richard Aldworth Neville, 2nd Lord Braybrooke, in 1806. They had three children, a son also named Stephen Richard, who succeeded his father as 9th baronet in 1815, a second son Henry who entered the church and a daughter Catherine (d.1900) who married the Rt. Hon William Ewart Gladstone (1809-1898) M.P. for the University of Oxford in 1839 and Liberal Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on four occasions.
