* A SIGNED AND DATED ICON SHOWING THE TEN HOLY MARTYRS OF CRETE Crete, Emmanuel Tzanes, 1688 Tempera on wood panel. Finely executed in bright colours on a gold ground. Signed in Greek and dated on the lower border. The edges minimally chipped, minor areas of retouching. 25.9 x 20.9 cm.
SIGNIERTE UND DATIERTE IKONE MIT DEN ZEHN HEILIGEN MÄRTYRERN VON KRETA Kreta, Emmanuel Tzanes, datiert 1688 Dünne Holztafel mit zwei aufgenagelten Rückseiten-Sponki (verloren). Eitempera auf Kreidegrund, Nimben und Hintergrund vergoldet. 25,9 x 20,9 cm. Am unteren Rand griechische Signatur mit Datierung '1688'. In sehr feiner Malerei ausgeführte Darstellung der frontal stehenden Märtyrer Theodulus, Saturninus, Euporus, Gelasius, Eunician (diese 5 stammten aus Gortyn), Zoticus (von Knossos), Pompius (von Lebena), Agathopus (von Panormos), Basilides (von Kydonia, Chania) und Evaristus (von Heraklion), die unter Kaiser Decius (249-251) im dritten Jahrhundert nach Christus ihr Martyrium erlitten. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
