LINCOLN, Abraham (1809-1865). Partly-printed document signed ("Abraham Lincoln") as President, Washington, 12 August 1861.

One page, 492 x 384mm, countersigned by Simon CAMERON (1799-1889) as Secretary of War (mild toning at margins, mounted to a board). Framed.

Lincoln commissions a cavalry officer who served at Shiloh, Stone's River, and Murfreesborough. Although the commission assigns Copley Amory as a "Second Lieutenant in the First Regiment of Cavalry", the Massachusetts born, Amory (1841-1879) actually served in the fourth cavalry, rising to the rank of first lieutenant, resigning his commission at the end of 1863. After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
