JAMES, Henry (1843-1916). A Small Boy and Others. London: Macmillan and Co., 1913. First English edition, a presentation copy. Warmly inscribed by the author: "For my very dear George & Fanny Prothero / their all fanciful Henry James April 1913." Sir George Walter Prothero (1848-1922) was an English writer and academic who served as the president of the Royal Historical Society from 1901-05. Mary Frances Prothero was a member of the Cambridge Ladies Dining Society, a group of supporters for women's suffrage who were also active in the campaign to grant women Cambridge degrees (the campaign would finally find success in 1948). After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
