An account of Thomas Thornton's tour of France, compiled by letters he sent to his friend the Earl of Darlington, recounting the sports of the region, following his book A Sporting Tour through the Northern Parts of England and Great Part of the Highlands of Scotland which addressed the hunting, shooting, angling and hawking he did on his tour there.
