MARK OF TIFFANY & CO., NEW YORK, CIRCA 1865

Antique Ivy pattern, comprising a kettle on lamp stand, creamer, two-handled sugar bowl and cover, waste bowl, double tea caddy, cake basket, two-handled celery vase, bonbon basket, and pair of sugar tongs, engraved throughout with scrolling ivy tendrils and leaves, the kettle on stand and sugar bowl and cover with putti finials, engraved throughout in reserves with monogram CU and Latin phrase FIDUS AMICUS, marked on undersides with 550 Broadway mark, the sugar tongs also with maker's mark for John Polhamus;

Together with a similar muffin dish, cover, and pierced liner, mark of Gorham Mfg. Co., Providence, Rhode Island, second half 19th century, with retailers mark for Shreve Stanwood & Co.
