A VERY FINE ICON SHOWING CHRIST THE SAVIOUR WITH A SILVER-GILT AND CHAMPLEVÉ ENAMEL FRAME Russian, circa 1870 (icon), Russian, St. Petersburg, Sazikov, circa 1870 (frame) Oil on metal laid down on wood with velvet backing. The border finely enamelled in red, blue and white. Marked with city hallmark, 84 standard, master's mark 'Sazikov' in Cyrillic and Imperial warrant. The reverse applied with a silver plaque inscribed in English: 'St. John XV 9, 10, 11. 12. 14. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If you keep my commandments, even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I haveloved you. Je are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
