A VERY LARGE AND VERY FINE DATED AND SIGNED ICON SHOWING ST. NATALIYA FLANKED BY THE GUARDIAN ANGEL AND ST. PROKOPIY THE CONFESSOR Russian, St. Petersburg, workshop of Pesekhonov, probably I. Lyatov, dated 1853 Tempera on wood panel. Finely painted in great detail. The expressive faces delicately executed with soft earthly tones, their garments highlighted with dense chrysography. The border painted with a geometric pattern in green, blue and red over a gilded ground. Monogrammed and dated 'I L' in Cyrillic lower right corner. Minor vertical cracl. 44.2 x 35.5 cm. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
