On shaped circular rococo base applied with two tritons, the partly fluted flattened shaped circular body chased decorated on either side with a cast scene of Galatea and attendants below a facetted baluster neck, the hinged cover with conch-blowing cherub, engraved on ewer with inscriptions, marked on stand, tritons, body, cover, finial and nut
overall height 24 3/8 in. (62cm.)
146 oz. 3 dwt. (4,547 gr.)
The later inscription reads: 'Presented to The Cinematograph Exhibitors' Association of Great Britain and Ireland by Sir William Jury 1935.'
