Cap body in dark-blue wool, red cloth cap band, dark-blue piping, black leather chinstrap attached by two gilt finished buttons with coat of arms motif. Cap badge of King's Crown with Lion, hand-embroidered in gilt wire and red velvet, hand-applied. Black leather visor with hand-embroidered gilt wreath across top, green textured finish underside. Cream leather top lining, side lining of gold, ribbed rayon, paper identification tag with "Davies Staff" attached. Brown leather sweatband, "Oliver" handwritten to obverse, reverse with illegible handwriting. WWI/WWII era. Size ca. 56 ½ cm.
