Inverted pear-shaped on reeded rim foot, with gadrooned, scalloped and foliate borders and terminals on a matted ground, the wooden scroll handle set at right angles to the scroll spout with hinged flap, the cover with gadrooned and trefoil borders, the detachable domed finial fixed to the cover with a single-link chain and rings, the body engraved with initials 'O*T*A', marked underneath, on cover and finial
