CIRCLE OR SCHOOL OF ABRAHAM BLOEMAERT 25 December 1564 Gorinchem (Holland) - 27 January 1651 Utrecht THE BAPTISM OF CHRIST, PROBABLY AROUND 1600 Oil on walnut panel. 25 x 20 cm (F. 33 x 29 cm). Part. min. paint losses, lower centre panel with minimal cracking. Frame. The study offered here is close to paintings by Cornelis van Haarlem and shows in parts an altered smaller section of Abraham Bloemaert's paintings of the 'Baptism of Christ' from 1598/1600 and 1646 respectively. Figures have been added to the left edge of the picture, the tense vertical format, in the version offered here, replaces the wide format of the large variant from 1646. Part. min Farbverluste, unten mittig Tafel mit minimaler Rissbildung. Rahmen. Die hier angebotene Studie steht Gemälden von Cornelis van Haarlem nahe und zeigt in Teilen einen veränderten kleineren Ausschnitt aus Abraham Bloemaerts Gemälden der 'Taufe Christi' von 1598/1600 bzw. 1646. Additiv sind am linken Bildrand Figuren hinzugefügt, das spannungsgeladene Hochformat, in der hier angebotenen Fassung, ersetzt das Breitformat der großen Variante von 1646. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
