Landschaft mit Christus und den Emmausjüngern
Blick auf eine baumbestandene, flämische Ideallandschaft mit einem tunnelartigen Weg durch einen Wald, auf einer Lichtung im Vordergrund in der Bildmitte eine kleinfigurig gemalte Figurengruppe: Christus mit den zwei Jüngern auf dem Weg nach Emmaus, die von einem sich ehrerbietig niederknienden Mann und zwei stehenden Männern (bzw. Soldaten) mit Lanzen angehalten werden. Das in den Details des Laubes in den Bäumen und in den Blumen im Vordergrund feinmalerisch ausgeführte, subtil tiefenräumlich gestaffelte Kabinettbild verweist aufgrund des Motivs, der Komposition und des Stils auf den flämischen Meister Abraham Govaerts. Dieser gehörte zu den angesehenen Landschaftsmalern Antwerpens, er war von Jan Brueghel d. Ä. und Gillis van Coninxloo (III) beeinflusst, wurde 1607 Meister in der Gilde und 1623 zu deren Dekan gewählt. Bei der Figurenstaffage arbeitete er - wie es in Antwerpener Malerei des 16. Jhs. allgemein üblich war - oft mit anderen bedeutenden Künstlern zusammen, insbesondere mit Frans Francken dem Jüngeren. Öl/Kupfertafel. 23,5 cm x 31 cm. Rahmen.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
