EIGHTEEN SHANGHAI LANDSCAPE POSTCARDS
China, early 20th century Letters. Ca. 9x14 cm. The collection contains six colorful Shanghai landscape postcards issued by the Tabaqueria Filipina in Shanghai on the Nanjing Road, which were sent from Shanghai to Hamburg in the year of 1909 and 1910, four of which were affixed with a 5 Pfennig Germania stamp (Deutsches Reich, China version); four black and white Shanghai landscape postcards sent from Shanghai to Hamburg in 1909 and 1910 issued by Kamogawa & Co., three of which were affixed with a 5 Pfennig Germania stamp (Deutsches Reich, China version); and eight black and white Shanghai landscape postcards, three of which were affixed with 10 Pfennig Germania stamp (Reichspost, China version), two with 10 Pfennig Germania stamp (Deutsches Reich, China version) and two with 5 Pfennig.
