Beeindruckendes Tafelwerk in 2. Auflage über die Monumente des römischen Altertums. Die meisten Stiche römischer Statuen und Monumente stammen von Pietro Santi Bartoli, einem der bekanntesten und talentiertesten Kupferstecher seiner Zeit, die Kommentare dazu von Pietro Bellori. Die erste Auflage, undatiert erschienen 1865, ist extrem selten und fast nie vollständig.
Quer-Groß-Folio (35,5 x 48 cm), 83 (statt 84) nummerierte Blätter, es fehlt der letzte Stich mit der Nummer 84. Breitrandiges Exemplar, die Stiche in kräftigem Druck, mit durchgehendem Wasserrand in den oberen 2 - 3 cm, gering stockfleckig im rechten Rand, ein Feuchtefleck im rechten unteren Eck bis etwa Tafel 30, Tafel 4 wie auch das Titelblatt angeschmutzt. Ganzledereinband, der Vorderdeckel mit fliegendem Vorsatz fehlt, der hintere Deckel vom Rücken gelöst, aber von den Bindebändern gehalten.

An impressive collection of roman art work and monuments by one of the time's most talented and appraised etchers, Pietro Santi Bartoli, with comments by Pietro Bellori. 2nd edition, with the first one, dated 1685, extremely rare and impossible to find with all plates. In-Folio (35,5 x 48 cm), 83 (instead of 84) numbered leaves, the last one, #84, missing. Strong paper with white margins, water stains on the top edge throughout, some foxing and browning mostly in the right margins, a water stain in the right bottom corner from beginning to plate 30. Plate 4 and title dirtied. The front cover with fly leaf missing, the rear cover broken off the back, but still in place.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
