Lot 4024 | Adolf Hitler - eigenhändig signierte Stellungnahme zur Südtirol-Frage vom 23. November 1931 mit Textmarkierungen
Estimate value
€ 3 000

Adolf Hitler - a signed statement concerning the South Tirol question from November 23, 1931 with text markings
On November 23, 1931, Hitler issued a written statement (tr.) "regarding the questions brought to my attention": "1) … Did Hitler issue a waiver for South Tyrol during his political activities? 2) … Did Hitler declare that the NSDAP did not have the slightest interest to assimilate South Tyrol …? 3) Did Hitler have direct financial relations to the fascists in Rome …? 4) It is claimed that Hitler's mother was a Czech by birth who did not understand a single German word … he is requested to comment on this repeated accusation!". The four DIN A4 sheets are typewritten, with comprehensive answers to the four questions, the passages underlined in red were probably marked by Hitler himself, on the fourth and last page: "I am willing to swear an oath on the statements I made here, Munich 23rd November 1931" (tr.), with Hitler's ink signature. The front of the folder with a handwritten label "Preservation work executed by the NSDAP central archive in Munich" (tr.), a rigid folder with 5 mm thick inserts, the sheets sealed/preserved in these inserts and covered with a kind of UV protection to prevent fading. On page 4 with a red stamp: "Gau-Archiv Kärnten, NR. 287". With matching archival slipcase, dimensions ca. 30 x 27 x 3 cm. An extremely rare and historically significant document which illustrates Hitler's position on South Tyrol in 1931 and was to invalidate questions related to his mother which were raised by his political enemies at the time.
