Wohl um 1790 ausgeführte, reizvolle Landschaftsvedute mit deutlichen Parallelen in Stil und Motiv zum Oeuvre Adrian Zinggs, der seine Motive vornehmlich im Thüringer Wald, Teilen von Böhmen und in der Sächsischen Schweiz fand, die er zusammen mit seinem Freund, dem Maler Anton Graff, in den 1780er und 1790er durchwanderte. Ausgebildet als Kupferstecher bei seinem Vater sowie in Zürich und Paris lehrte der Künstler ab 1764 an der Dresdner Akademie und pflegte engen Kontakt zu Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich, dessen druckgrafisches Spätwerk er nach Dietrichs Tod vollendete und publizierte. Lavierte Federzeichnung in Sepia mit Weißhöhung/Papier. Auf dem Schild unleserlich bez.; Verso handschriftliche Künstlerzuschreibung auf altem Papieretikett. 27,7 cm x 35,9 cm. Rahmen.
