Fascinating contemporary calf copy of the first edition of this four-volume work on the history of Parma by Ireneo Affò, art historian, man of letters and numismatist.

4 volumes, 4to (295 x 214mm). Title pages with engraved vignette depicting the coat of arms of the city of Parma, in the first volume portrait of the author on paper p1 and chalcographic headpiece on paper * 1r with portrait of the dedicatee Ferdinando I di Borbone, engraved by Francesco Rosaspina, woodcut headpieces (occasional light foxing, slight dampstaining to lower edge of the first volume). Contemporary calf marbled in green, decorated in gilt on the covers, with red edges and marbled endpapers (some wear to extremities and some scuffing). Provenance: C.C. Marchionis Joannis Georgii Stanga (label with bookplate on the first title). (4)

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
