A small Egyptian alabastron, 15th century B.C.
Small, massive vessel body in stocky form. With a conical cavity. A removable round plate sits on the opening. A slightly larger flat lid can be placed on top. Rare perfume vessel similar to an aryballos. Height 8 cm.
Mentioned with figure in Deutsche Apothekerzeitung 1956 no. 3, p. 18, fig. 2.

Provenance: From a Rhenish private collection. In the 1950s in the collection of Dr. Füngling, Cologne.

Kleines Salbgefäß, Alabaster, Ägypten, 15. Jhdt. v. Chr.
Kleiner, massiver Gefäßkörper in gedrungener Form mit abgesetztem Fuß. Mit konischer Aushöhlung. Auf der Öffnung sitzt eine abnehmbare runde Platte. Auf dieser kann ein minimal größerer flacher Deckel platziert werden. Seltenes Aryballos-ähnliches Salbgefäß. Höhe 8 cm.
Abgebildet in Deutsche Apothekerzeitung 1956 Nr. 3, S. 18, Abb. 2.

Provenienz: Rheinische Privatsammlung. In den 1950er Jahren Sammlung Dr. Füngling, Köln.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
