Remanants of the Weisgerber estate stamp (not at Lugt) and several remnants of labels on the canvas verso. Oil auf canvas. 116 x 87.8 cm. Restored. Minor damage. Minor damage to frame (132.5 x 102.5 cm).
Bei dem Gemälde handelt es sich vermutlich um jenes, welche Frau Saskia Ishikawa-Franke in ihrem Werksverzeichnis zu Albert Weisgerber als NG-2 mit nahezu identischen Maßen katalogisiert hat (dort mit einer Provenienzangabe bei Ketterer, Stuttgart 1955). Dort betrachtet sie das Gemälde als das Werk eines Schülers von Weisgerber, datiert um 1904.
Gleichzeitig verweist sie ebenso auf ein Gemälde Weisgerbers aus seinem Nachlass, mit welchem dieses identisch sein könnte (IF 58). Mit dem Nachlassstempel Weisgerbers können wir sicher sein, dass es sich hier um dasselbe Gemälde handelt. Ob nun Weisgerber der Urheber des Gemäldes ist oder nicht, lässt sich jedoch nicht mit Sicherheit sagen. Sollte es eine Schülerarbeit nun sein, war es ihm jedoch so wichtig, dass er es bis zu seinem Tod bei sich bewahrt hat.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
