Albrecht Adam: Nördlingen 1786 - 1862 München. Bedeutender deutscher Maler von Schlachten, Porträts, historischen Szenen, Reitermotiven, Pferden etc. Schüler von Rugendas, Studium an der Wiener Kunstakademie. Adam war im Jahr 1809 direkter Augenzeuge von erbitterten Schlachten (Tarvis, Aspern, Wagram), von denen er einige Skizzen/Vorstudien fertigte (“In diesen Tagen sah ich so viele erschütternde Szenen, daß ich kein Verlangen trug, der Armee weiter zu folgen“; Quelle: Wikipedia). Adam nahm dennoch zeitweise am Russlandfeldzug Napoleons 1812 teil. Motiv: Mehrere berittene französische Soldaten der Armee Napoleons auf einer Anhöhe vor einem Dorf. Unten in französischer Legende bezeichnet „Combat de Tarvis le 18 May 1809“. Federzeichnung mit grauer Teilkolorierung, Blattformat 17,5 x 19 cm, kreisförmiger Bildausschnitt mit Durchmesser von 15,5 cm. Blatt flächig mit Flecken. Auf Deck - Karton handschriftlich biographische Daten zum Künstler. Es handelt sich um eine Skizze oder Vorzeichnung für die Darstellung der Schlacht von Tarvis 1809. Auf der Rückseite des Blattes mehrere handschriftliche Bezeichnungen: „N° 346“, „Albr. Adam“, „10.78371 F.J“, „sd/N“ sowie Stempeldruck einer Verlagshandlung. First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction.
