Der Hl. Sebaldus in der Nische
Holzschnitt/Papier, 1518. L. o. im Stock dat.; Wasserzeichen mit dem Wappen von Nürnberg (Meder 209). Wvz. Meder, S. 196, b (mit dem Sprung, Zustand a); Schoch/Mende/Scherbaum 251. Prachtvoller, tiefer, äußerst harmonischer Abzug mit schönen Randeinfassungslinien. Dargestellt ist der Heilige in Pilgertracht mit Stab und Rosenkranz, in der rechten Hand ein Modell seiner Kirche in Nürnberg haltend; die architektonische Rundbogen-Nische im neuen Stil der Renaissance, oberhalb von der Decke hängend ein Feston mit vier Wappen. Das ehemals Hans Springinklee zugeschriebene Blatt, das Meder noch der "Dürer-Schule" zuwies, wird in der jüngeren Forschung dem Nürnberger Meister selbst zugeschrieben. Der Hl. Sebald und die Nürnberger Sebalduskirche waren von großer Bedeutung für den religiösen Dürer: er lebte im Viertel um die Kirche, in der er getauft und vermählt wurde, zudem ruhten auch seine Eltern und früh verstorbenen Geschwister auf deren Friedhof. Darstellung ca. 30,1 cm x 21,2 cm. Rahmen.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
