Süditalienische Straßenszene
Großformatiges, wohl um 1870-1880 entstandenes Werk mit vielfiguriger, pittoresker Schilderung eines alten Hofes mit seiner Architektur und zum Trocknen aufgehängten Schaffellen in hellem, mediterranem Licht. Dieser ist durch unterschiedliche Personen, Bauern mit ihren Eseln und anderen Tieren, spielende Kinder etc. belebt. Schönn widmete sich im Laufe seines künstlerischen Lebens erfolgreich der Schlachtenmalerei, Historien- und Genreszenen sowie Veduten, insbesondere italienischen und orientalischen Motiven. Er studierte 1845-1848 an der Wiener Akademie, 1848 nahm er am Italienfeldzug teil. In den folgenden Jahren unternahm er zahlreiche Studienreisen, u. a. nach Ungarn, Frankreich, Italien und Galizien, außerdem eine große Orientreise über Griechenland, die Türkei, Syrien und Palästina bis nach Ägypten. 1861 wurde Schönn Mitglied der Genossenschaft der bildenden Künstler Wiens, 1866 Mitglied der Wiener Akademie und 1877 dort ehrenhalber Professor. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
