1843. Öl/Lw., 63,5 x 50 cm, l. u. monogr. und dat. AB 1843, min. rest. - Provenienz: Von einer Nachfahrin der Künstlerin. - Deutsche Portrait- und Historienmalerin. B. studierte ab 1835 an der Akademie Düsseldorf bei J. Hübner und K. Sohn und schuf zu dieser Zeit Bildnisse von C. F. Lessing und F. Mendelsohn-Bartholdy. 1851 und 1852 lebte sie in Florenz und Rom und ließ sich 1857 in München nieder. Bereits in Rom hatte sie ein religiöses Stift für Künstlerinnen geplant, das sie nach 1864 mit Hilfe einer Gönnerin aus dem Hause Hohenzollern auf der Insel Reichenau gründen konnte. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
