Auf rautenförmigem Papptäfelchen aufwendig in Ölfarben ausgeführtes Profil des jungen Napoleon I. als erster Konsul, in scharlachroten Uniformrock mit Eichenlaubstickerei aus Goldfäden gekleidet. Signiert "A. Tardieu". Im zeitgenössischen Profilrahmen mit stuckiertem Empire-Dekor (etwas bestoßen, Fehlstellen in der inneren Stuckleiste), hinter Glas. Maße des Bildes 14,5 x 14,5 cm, Maße gerahmt 25,5 x 26 cm.
Ambroise Tardieu (1788 - 1841) war ein wichtiger französischer Kupferstecher, der sich vor allem der Kartographie widmete. Außerdem war er Herausgeber einer Portraitgallerie in Buchform, "Iconographie universelle, ancienne et moderne", sowie der Zeitschrift "La Muse française". Er illustrierte Bücher und gravierte Portraits vieler bedeutender Zeitgenossen.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
