Stitch saber with slightly curved single edge, pointed blade with a train, richly decorated, and in Greek and dated "1909". Basket brass fire handle-gold-plated, open worked. Handle with Stingray leather and original wire wrap. Possibly. Model of the U.S. Naval Academy in Greece with traditional acid etching. Blade marked *E. A. Armstrong, M. F. G. Co 315 Wabash Avenue, Chicago*. Blade metal verchrohmt, width at base 22 mm, length 75 cm. Steel scabbard with one carrying ring. Total length 93 cm. Vessel with very little rust, gilding passed part a little, otherwise very good conservation.
