Tapered cylindrical with molded base band, the front engraved with a coat-of-arms within a rococo cartouche and surmounted by a crest, the stepped-domed cover with baluster-form finial and scroll thumbpiece, the scroll handle applied with baluster drop and oval terminal, the handle further engraved with block initials B / M*A, marked to left of handle (Kane mark A) and on hinge of cover (Kane mark C)
