On the front is written: From Mama before the cruise on the cruiser Aurora to Siam. Naples 1/14 October 1911. On the back a prayer of blessing, from the Troparion of the feast of the Cross.
The Aurora was on a training trip in the Baltic Sea in the summer of 1911. She was in Kronstadt from 11 to 24 August and went to Siam on 21 September to take part in the celebrations for the coronation of the King of Siam. On its way there, the Aurora arrived on October 11 in Naples. Here His Imperial Highness Grand Duke Boris Vladimirovich and his entourage arrived to take the cruiser to Bangkok.
